Why are so many Bollywood beauties opting for the fringe these days, me wonders! At recent fashion-dos we spotted these actresses flaunting the fringe.

For each we present different looks and ask for your vote.

Bipasha's puppy v/s side-swept fringe

No movies, no item numbers but a lot of promotions define Bipasha Basu's work profile these days. So, she has to work on her looks and boy-oh-boy did she shock us with her fringe or what?

In the picture above (left) her fringe just gives her a silly puppy look and its we suspect, a fake clip-on. Why would Bipasha do this to herself?

The second appearance was a pleasant relief with her side-swept fringe and soft wavy hair. We think the second look wins hands down, what about you?

Kangana ditches her curls

There is something about women with a thick mass of curls, they feel the nagging need to straighten them! The lady in question is Kangana Ranaut who recently unveiled her more stylish and svelte look and topped it off with a poker-straight fringe.

As much as we miss those curls (the only one in Bollywood with wild curly hair), the fringe covers her wide forehead and it suits her fine. Kangana can carry off both hair-dos with élan, so our votes are split. But, what about you?

Genelia's versatile fringe benefits

From a fresh-faced actress in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na (see pic above, extreme left) to experimenting with style for her recent appearances, Genelia D'Souza has come a full circle. As the length of her hair got shorter (and the volume reduced, notice carefully), she slowly evolved from the cute girl-next-door to a diva.

With her hair straightened, she attended the Louis Vuitton launch in Mumbai and with her natural wavy hair she made an appearance at Hyderabad - how appropriate is that!

Just ignore the ugly shiny dress and you'll be able to like her hair in the centre pic and find her adorable in the third. The fringe is perfect for Genelia. Do you feel the same?

Soul-sisters of the fringe

Without the fringe they are two different women and with the fringe they look like soul sisters. Ladies and Gentlemen, presenting Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor (in her very first fringe look. Yeah you can thank us later :D).

We say these girls should never ever get a fringe, what do you think?

Fringe fun fiasco!

Yeah we had a blast with photoshop and learnt to two important lessons - if you are Aishwarya Rai (or your face shape is like hers) and you are in your thirties, a fringe will make you look like a funny anime character.

And, if you are Kareena Kapoor (or have a square jaw structure like her) a fringe will make your face look like a box.
