Amongst the popular Halo series of games available since a decade, Halo: Reach is the prequel that will take you to the settings of Planet Reach before the first Halo game starts. The player gets to fight alongside the iconic Spartan soldiers - Noble Team. Bungie says that it has used a new engine technology that enables making the best of next generation graphics, audio, special effects, Artificial Intelligence and animation.
Halo Reach offers four player co-operative campaign play with splitscreen support to enjoy with your gamer friends. Gamers in India started associating multi-player campaign fun with Halo games. Now, Reach brings new customizations, variety in gameplay and integration of the community in the multiplayer experience.
Halo Reach would be available in three different editions:
Standard Edition:
- Just the game disc
Limited Edition:
- Game disc housed in recovered ONI "black box"
- Exclusive in-game Elite armor set for use in multiplayer modes
- Artifact bag containing Dr. Halsey's personal journal and other classified documents and effects that unravel long held secrets from the Halo Universe
Legendary Edition:
- Noble Team statue from McFarlane Toys. Individually molded, hand-painted and individually numbered, this statuette is a must have for any serious Halo fan
- UNSC-themed custom packaging of game disc, graphics book, etc.
- An exclusive multiplayer Spartan armor effect.

At the game launch in Mumbai, we caught up with Ashim Mathur, Director Marketing, Entertainment & Devices Division, Microsoft Corporation (India) Pvt. Ltd., for a quick chat about the game. We inquired if Microsoft will offer Indian or South Asia specific game servers for Multiplayer action on Halo Reach. To this, Ashim Mathur responded, "Halo: Reach's multi-player gaming option will run on global Xbox Servers. We won't be setting up any country or region specific game servers."
Mathur also promised that all Halo Reach DLC content will be made available globally at the same time whenever released.
You can buy Halo: Reach from the stores listed in the store locator here. The only sad part is that Indian gamers won't get to see the very limited edition Halo Reach Xbox 360 console bundle.
