Who'll be 2010's superstar?
The word is My Name Is Khan will be Shah Rukh’s big comeback. Considering his last big hit, Chak De India was way back in 2007, his fans are keeping their fingers crossed for this one.
Hrithik's last movie Jodhaa Akbar released in 2008. So his fans too are waiting with bated breath to catch him on the silver screen.
Then there is Salman, Ranbir and Abhishek who all saw their movies raking in the moolah at the box office with Wanted, Ajab Prem… and Paa respectively.
Meanwhile Akshay Kumar who in spite of having five releases last year did not manage to give even ONE single hit. Blue, Kambakkht Ishq, 8 x 10 Tasveer, Chandni Chowk...each a bigger flop than the other with the exception of De Dana Dan which did average business.
Now let’s take a look at their releases for this year…

Kites
Kites follows the story of J, a salsa dancer, who falls in love with his student. Due to some incidents he gets involved in a mess and he is now a wanted man who’s left to die in the scorching heat of the Mexican desert. Rumour has it that Hrithik is actually in love with Barbara.
Another rumour says he’s got the hots for Monikkangana, his leading lady in upcoming movie Guzaarish. How Suzanne is handling these rumours she only knows but we hope his movie Kites is not affected by his personal fights.

Raavana
Raavana is a modern day rendition of the mythological book Ramayana. It was on the sets of Mani Ratnam’s Guru that Ash-Abhi got hitched and now the trio is back with Raavana.
Ash-Abhi’s certain soap commercial was a disaster. Hope Raavana’s box-office result doesn’t have a soapy effect the ad did.

My Name Is Khan
The movie is about a Muslim who suffers from autism. This impacts his social interaction abilities which somehow gets him arrested as a suspected terrorist post-9/11.
If Raavana has the magic formula of Ash-Abhi-Mani, My Name is Khan has the hit-recipe of SRK-Kajol-KJo. If 9/11 stories are clichéd, then mythological stories are dated too. So only time will tell which movie will do better.

Veer
The kings and nawabs of India have fallen for the British policy of 'Divide and Rule' except for the brave Pindaris, who prefer death to dishonor. And the strongest of the Pindaris is Veer.
The script of Veer has been written by Salman himself. And if by chance this doesn’t work he can always write another on how Ash and Katrina, two of the most beautiful women on earth walked out on him. We bet the latter would be a surefire hit.

Anjaana Anjaani
It’s a romcom starring Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. The film shows two strangers who fall in love and their journey together.
Ranbir Kapoor is already a youth icon and it's just matter of time before he’s included in the league of superstars. With every movie of his hitting the jackpot, it's almost a given that this one too will be a hit. We just hope he’s not typecasted like his father as a chocolate hero. So Ranbir if you’re reading, when are we going to see some action?

Tees Mar Khan
Akshay Kumar plays a smart and suave conman in this film written by Shirish Kunder. Farah Khan choosing Akshay Kumar over SRK has got the media confused. And in this confusion the movie has managed to garner so much publicity that it will last them till the film is released.
Farah dumping SRK, SRK spiting Akshay, Shirish Kunder upset with SRK, Akshay lashing back at SRK. Uff! So has Akshay made the right decision in picking a film that SRK refused or will this add another flop to his kitty?
