Va va wow: Gowns rock at Oscars!

Fashionistas, clothes horses and fashion slaves must be salivating, wondering how, where and when they will be able to get their hands on the gowns seen on the red carpet at the Academy Awards.

This year, Hollywood's beautiful women arrived in great style in some of the most feminine, frothy confections, inspired by and embellished with flower motifs. Adding oomph were floaty, layered fabrics and pleated/bunched rouging.

Here are some sigh-worthy, gowns that make us itch to pull out our credit cards:

Demi Moore arrived in a peach Armani Prive dress, Up in the Air actor Vera Farmiga came in a deep pink Marquesa gown, while her co-star Anna Kendrick picked in stunning nude Elie Saab gown.

Elizabeth Banks arrived in a frothy Versace gown while Avatar star Zoe Saldana arrived in a Givenchy princess-style gown.

The Blind Side star Sandra Bullock picked a shiny, slim-fitted gown of 'vintage material', Sex and the City star Sara Jessica Parker arrived in, what else, Chanel Couture with flower detailing while Jennifer Lopez chose Armani Prive.

Charlize Theron arrived in a strapless lilac Dior Haute Couture gown (with strategically placed roses!), Mariah Carey bulged out of a high-cut Valentino gown and Penelope Cruz came in a trailing Donna Karan gown with Chopard diamond drop earrings.
