You love your job, don't you? That's just great except that your job has turned into this jealous lover who has stolen the rest of your life.

Now don't get all indifferent; you know it's true. But if you still choose to live in denial, here are 10 tell-tale signs that you really need to get a life in 2010.

1. You spend more than 10 hours at work everyday. You're the first to come in and the last to leave. The day and the night watchmen know you by name and of course, you know them by theirs. At times, you are often mistaken for office furniture! Are you still in denial? Okay, there's more…

2. The last party you attended was the office Diwali party where you decided to let yourself go, release all that pent up energy and show off your dance moves to some sleazy co-workers!

3. Your best friend in the whole world is your colleague who knows everything about you – from the fact that you had a quickie in the elevator to when your period is due!

4. You couldn't make it for your parents' anniversary or your child's sports day because something urgent came up and you just couldn't get out of it.

5. You take pride in the fact that your job keeps you trim. You are way too busy to get off your desk for a lunch break, so you starve instead.

6. You are so "emotionally" attached to your job that you call the office your second home and your colleagues your family. (FYI, that really doesn't make us go aww!!!) And another thing; when people outside of office ask you your name, don't include your designation. Get this. You are not your job!

7. Your boss and your colleagues are a regular feature in your dreams (or nightmares)! Trust me, this actually happens.

8. The Blackberry is your bosom buddy and makes its way with you everywhere – even to the bathroom / hospital bed!

9. The last roll in the hay you had was with the guy at the Xerox machine. Arrrrghhh!!!

10. In the last couple of months, your only expenses have been transport to work and back and canteen food. Well, at least now you'll have one more thing to add to that list: doctor's bills because if you continue like an obsessive workaholic, you are bound to land yourself in the hospital, if you haven't already.

So get out of that office NOW, use all that privilege leave you've accumulated and take a long overdue vacation before you burn out completely.
