Museum of Indian cinema to arrive in Mumbai by 2013!

The last day of FICCI 2010 saw I & B minister Ambika Soni announcing various new initiatives which seemed great for all the cinema lovers in India. The honourable minister in her speech said, "Indian cinema has a market in the west but frankly it isn't as big as it should ideally be. We still haven't arrived internationally. We don't cater to western audiences and their liking. We thus need to upgrade our technology and thus the government has planned to allocate 52 crores for the making of National centre for Animation, Gaming at Special Effects. This institute will have trained profesisonals who will help those who want to make a career in film animation and much more. In 2013, Indian Cinema will finish 100 glorious years and as a tribute we will construct a museum dedicated to Indian cinema in Mumbai by 2013. We are also planning to begin a National Heritage mission which would be like an archive in two years from now. A budget of 660 crores has been alocated for the same."

The minister also reiterated that piracy has to be curbed if the film industry needs to flourish and make a global mark in the future.
