Make up makeover: Eye candy

For small eyes
If you have small eyes (like Taylor Swift) and have been trying all the techniques you can think up of in your head, to no avail then you definitely need to read this.
Here's what you can do to guarantee immediate results:
- Don't underestimate what mascara can do. Use plenty of mascara because it opens up your eyes. But use it properly, if possible, separate your lashes so that they don't look glued together.
- Maintain your brows. Always make sure that your eyebrows are waxed or threaded so that your brows don't end up looking like bushes - it actually makes your eyes appear smaller than they actually are.
- Make use of tones. Use eye-shadows that are in different tones. Invest in colours that compliment your skin tone. A chocolate brown used with an earth brown look wonderful on the Indian skin tone.
- Don't forget Kajal. It's the ultimate eye opener, remember that a thin line will do the trick; too much kajal actually makes the eyes close up.

For big eyes
If you have big eyes (like Kareena Kapoor) it doesn't take much effort to make your eyes look smaller. Check out these tricks:
- Use darker shades of eye shadow instead of lighter ones. Stay away from bright colors like yellow's and green's no matter how experimental you're feeling - they'll only make your eyes look bigger.
- Make the Smokey eyes effect your trademark. Invest in a smudge brush and Do NOT go easy on the kajal, in fact, use however much you want on eyelids.
- Make the eyeliner your best friend. Line both, your upper and lower lids rims and make sure that you stay as close to your lash line as possible.
- Instead of using black mascara use brown. It won't draw as much attention to your eyes as black does.

For oriental eyes
It takes practice in order to master the oriental eyes (like Lucy Liu's) and once mastered you can be sure that the effects will be glamorous. If you have oriental eyes, you have the advantage of using even the boldest of colours.
- Apply close to lash base. All you have to do, is whether you're using eyeliner or eye shadow, make sure that you apply it as close as you possible can to your lash base. It's difficult to experiment with more than two shades at the same time on your lids.
- Cream-based eye shadows. Instead of using powder-based eye shadows try the cream based ones instead.

For close-set eyes
It's best to try different looks step by step. Experimenting is not an issue with close-set eyes (like Julia Roberts) but make sure you don't overdo it. The eye make up can change the look of your entire face and make your eyes look not to close together. Try this:
- Brush lashes out. When using mascara, brush the lashes out. Never ever curl your lashes.
- Use light shades of eye shadow. Use the lightest shade of eye shadow you own to draw attention to the outside of your eyes by applying it on the outer corners of the lower lashes.

For wide apart eyes
In order to make your eyes seem more closer than they actually are, the sans eye make up look will not work especially if you've had a late night out (case in consideration: Britney Spears).
- Try concealer to cover the dark circles because when you have eyes that are wide apart, your entire face ends up looking gaunt.
- Line 'em up. Make sure that your eyes are lined completely.
- Go mascara! Be generous with your mascara and brush your lashes straight up.
Be the eye candy you always were!
