How to make your lips kissable

A smile is the most beautiful feature of the face and it’s the lips that hold that beautiful smile. Whether you want to thin out your lips or make them appear fuller, there’s always a way to do it without going in for injections or surgery [something that everyone will figure out once they take a look at your lips!]. Make use of the make up that you have stacked up and get kissable lips!

If you have thick lips

You have lips that are the secret envy of all your friends but you don’t like them one bit and think that you’re better off with smaller lips. They’re just too big for your liking! So chill out and don’t stress, follow these steps for making your lips appear thinner or smaller. Get these out of your makeup pouch because they aren’t only meant for your face:

Concealer (White)
Eye shadow

  • Use concealer over your natural lip line and when the mismatched shade appears, fill it in with a dark shade of lipstick as well as the rest if your lips
  • Use white eye shadow in the center of your lips over the lipstick you have just applied and spread it out.
  • Avoid using lip glosses especially for a day look, instead opt for a lip balm.

If you have thin lips

  • You would give up your shoe collection for Angelina Jolie lips but wait, hold off on those lip fillers! Follow these tips to save up as well as have cosmetic-surgery-free natural lips. In order to make your lips seem thicker or fuller a little tricks of the trade should always be in your hand bag:

    Lip liner
    Lip Gloss
    Lipstick in a light shade

  • When lining your lips, it’s best to line your lips a little further than your lip line(and then cover it with lipstick)The tricky part is not overdoing it.
  • You might have come across women who have lined their lips so terribly that they look as if they have another set of lips! So try not to head in that direction.
  • Dark lipsticks do not do anything for thin lips; instead use a lighter shade so it throws more attention to your lips rather than the size of them.
  • Finally, use a nude shade of gloss. Gloss creates an image of fuller lips.

If you have unbalanced/uneven lips

If one of your lip is thinner than the other then, in order to make them seem more balanced, outline the thinner lip just outside your natural lip line.

If you have unbalanced lips, always keep in mind that you need to use lighter shades of lipstick. Foundation and concealer will be useful when trying to create a higher or lower lip line to balance out your lips.

Points to keep in mind

  • Go easy on your eye make up if you want to divert attention to your lips.
  • Shiny lip gloss is a force never to be reckoned with no matter how pretty you are.
Find a light or dark shade of lipstick that compliments your skin tone, because if you don’t get that right, then none of these tips will work as your entire look will go off base.
