Be the man!

Situation:

He comes home late after a night out with his friends, reeking of alcohol.
Typical you: Sulks. And nags him about how drunken driving can get him in jail.
Super you: Offer him some lemon water and excitedly ask him about his night. He will be taken aback but chances are he will open up and talk. The next morning he is bound to take you out shopping just because you’ve been nice to him!

Situation:

He’s driving his car super fast, dodging the Mumbai traffic even though you are in no hurry to get anywhere.
Typical you: Screams and asks him to slow down.
Super you: Buck him up with a “Let’s go faster” and watch his surprise. After his initial excitement, he will slow down on his own. Plus there will be no altercations for being the “nagging” wife.

Situation:

After making love, he gives you a peck on the forehead, rolls over and sleeps.
Typical you: Gets upset and sobs through the night, wakeup angry and when he asks you what happened, you say “nothing”.
Super you: Refuses to accept defeat and instead starts a whole new round of seduction by telling him how you want him some more and how good it was for you. A man can never turn down an ego massage!

Situation:

You are at the bar and he can’t help but stare at this totally gorgeous chick who just walked in.
Typical you: Feel a pang of jealousy, start thinking about how fat you are, down three extra drinks and promise to hit the gym next morning itself.
Super you: Totally hold your own and without getting upset, remember that he is after all your man. Comment on how hot that girl looks and how you love what she is wearing. He will quickly forget about her and focus his attention on you. Also, don’t forget to comment on the next hot guy you chance upon, he will have to pretend to be okay with it and you will get your revenge too.

Situation:

He is in the Bangkok for a business trip and peer pressure forces him into visiting a strip club.
Typical you: Get upset and bombard him with “How could you” and discuss with your friends as to how horrible men are.
Super you: Don’t sit at home wearing your pyjamas while he is out. Get out there with girlfriends and have some harmless fun. If you are in a good mood, you will not focus on the things men do.

Situation:

He hates having long conversations on the phone and is too busy during the day to call you a couple of times.
Typical you: Call him up, accuse him of not having time for you, ever!
Super you: Leave him alone and he will get curious as to why you haven’t called him. Make sure to tell him how busy you are and remember not talk to him for too long either. He is bound to call you back. After all, men love the chase.
