It's crazy that when most teenagers are busy cramming knowledge into their tiny little brains and battling peer pressure, this breed of teens has hit stardom and is raking in the moolah like there's no tomorrow.

Wondering what we're talking about? Emma Watson, our favourite Harry Potter girl has been named the highest paid actress in Hollywood in 2009. But Emma's not the only one laughing all the way to the bank. She's got lots of competition!

It's time for the Olsen twins and the Lindsay Lohans of the world to move over as we look at some top earning teenage starlets...

Emma Watson

Age: 19 years
Income: $4 million for a project

This girl, who's worth £20 million, has earned the title of Highest Paid Female Actress of the Decade. And with an income like that, she's coolly sped past the likes of Cameron Diaz, Angelina Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker. This British hottie has wasted no time at all, we think.

Emma made her acting debut in 2001 at the age of nine as Hermione Granger in Harry Potter. Ever since, she's done six Harry Potter flicks and two non-Harry Potter productions – Ballet Shoes and The Tale of Despereaux. And that's not all. She's also the face of Burberry. Way to go, girl!

Miley Cyrus

Age: 17 years
Income: $17.5 million from her tour alone

Miley hit jackpot with Hannah Montana in 2006. She shot to fame like lightning and was featured in eight songs from the soundtrack CD that was released later that year. That was pretty much Miley's cue to taking up a career in music. In 2007, she came out with her first solo album Meet Miley Cyrus and in 2008, she came out with Breakout. Miley's also done movies like Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert, Bolt and Hannah Montana: The Movie.

She made it to Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People in The World; a title well-deserved, what with Hannah Montana merchandise everywhere you turn!

Dakota Fanning

Age: 15 years
Income: $4 million a project

Dakota began her acting career in 2001 at the age of seven. In that very same year she made her mark with I Am Sam opposite Sean Penn. She also starred in blockbusters like Man on Fire, War of the Worlds and Charlotte's Web.

But the most amazing part about this PYT (Pretty Young Thing) is how she has evolved from a grinning seven-year-old to a chic 15-year-old. And no, she's not into the whole kiddie movie thing (though she does play them sometimes). Dakota has taken on mature roles and does them like a pro. All we can say is this girl's going places!
